What’s your absolute favourite Orlebar Brown piece, the one that, for you, perfectly encapsulates that O.B holiday feeling?

There are many special OB pieces, with very thoughtful tailored design touches. But my favourite item is our new OB Standard linen t-shirt. Simple, timeless and tailored. In many ways it does the job that our original Bulldog swim short does – ultimate off-duty versatility – taking you from beach to bar to pool to dinner. It’s what I would wear on holiday.

You’ve had the chance to elevate Orlebar Brown to new heights. What’s been the most exciting part of your journey with the brand so far?

There are myriad rewards every time we design something new and see months of development work come to fruition, but the most rewarding thing is seeing customers enjoy wearing the items we’ve created. That feeling never gets old.

Orlebar Brown is all about creating memories. Can you share a holiday memory that’s influenced your design aesthetic or your vision for the brand?

I recently visited the island of Hydra. There is a magical feeling when you arrive at a place with no cars, none of the frenzy of a city. It’s wonderfully escapist and perfectly relaxing. Once there you are surrounded by great design influences – art, music, interiors – that are effortlessly put together. Nothing feels forced – and that’s great design.

What’s the one thing you believe every Orlebar Brown customer should have in their suitcase, no matter where they’re headed?

The four essential would be a perfect fitting swim short – our Bulldog. Our easy fitting Alex linen trousers. An elegant pair of leather sandals – our new Muro. And a shirt that exudes quiet sophistication, our new Giles Pleated Bib resort shirt.
