What a day here actually looks like

You arrive around midday, because you are on holiday and midday is a perfectly respectable hour to start.

Eat like it is the best day of the holiday

At the centre of it is The Grill, cooking over open fire, which is the oldest trick in hospitality and still the most persuasive one.

Woodfired seafood. Premium cuts. Mezze and share plates, so you can order the thing you want and also the thing your friend ordered.

The Grilled Tiger Prawns come with chimichurri and lemon. The Wagyu Rump Steak arrives with garlic butter and chimichurri and needs no further explanation. There are frozen cocktails, spritzes and wine by the sea, which does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Casual with serious taste. That is the whole brief, and it is a very good one.

Build the trip around it

Book Sunset Beach for the afternoons and let everything else fall into place around it.

Mornings are for the beach and the walk up Jalan Camplung Tanduk. Afternoons are here. One night for Mrs Sippy, because the original still has the best pool in Seminyak and there is no version of this trip where you skip it.

Then Sunday, vinyl, golden hour, the flight home tomorrow. Perfect.

Pack accordingly

This trip needs roughly five things.
