How would you define your personal style in a few words?

My style is quite classic and minimal! I aim to create a refined and timeless aesthetic. 

Who or what inspires your style the most?

The 90’s are forever an inspiration. Whilst I love touching on trends, I am always drawn back to classic styles. Carolyn Basset Kennedy’s is a huge muse for me. I love saving images from this era, I find they always remain relevant! 

What are the top three staples in your wardrobe?

A classic black blazer, blue denim jeans, and a white T-shirt are three wardrobe items that I always have on hand. While the design or shape of those items might change over the years, having those staples will always provide the perfect foundation for any outfit.

You’re often on the go while running a highly successful fashion brand. What’s a typical workday outfit for you?

I am all about ease and comfort. On a typical day, I opt for pants, usually jeans, or black trousers paired with a good-quality basic on top, depending on the season. 

What fashion trend are you currently obsessed with?

I am loving a touch of animal print on accessories. It can really elevate and excite a basic outfit! 

What’s a piece of advice you would give to young entrepreneurs aspiring to carve their niche in the fashion industry?

If it was easy everyone would be doing it! We often hear about overnight success stories however nothing comes that easy. You need to be willing to put in the hard years and sacrifice. Hard work always pays off! 

What has been the most surprising or unexpected lesson you’ve learned in the world of fashion retail?

The retail landscape is forever changing, and you need to keep your finger on the pulse of your customers’ needs and wants. What your customer wanted 6 months ago may not be what they want now, so you really need to spend time understanding their needs. I like to ask, ‘What problem am I solving for them, and am I exciting them?’.

What is one item in your wardrobe that you cherish the most, and what’s the story behind it?

I have a pair of vintage Diesel jeans that have been in my wardrobe for years. My business partner bought them for me, and I think she regrets it! They are the best cut and wash. 

What’s your favourite season when it comes to fashion?

Although I don’t love the cold weather, I love the fashion! I feel like there is more options for different pieces and styling options. You can’t beat a big, oversized coat or jacket. 

And finally which upcoming fashion trends are you excited about and will incorporate into your personal wardrobe?

I love seeing Capri Pants making a comeback!
